Champions League winner AC Milan isn't seeking other players after netting Brazilian striker Pato on the transfer market, coach Carlo Ancelotti said on Wednesday.
"The market is closed for us. (Real Madrid's Brazilian midfielder) Emerson doesn't interest us and it's too late for (Barcelona's Brazilian striker) Ronaldinho," Ancelotti said.
Italian dailies have been speculating for months about a dream attack led by Ronaldinho and Brazil great Ronaldo, who joined Milan last season.
Milan Chairman Silvio Berlusconi said two weeks ago that Barcelona have refused to sell the striker.
He also quashed speculation that former Milan forward Andriy Shevchenko, now with Chelsea, might return, saying the London team had put up "insurmountable obstacles" to a deal.
Ronaldo told reporters that players were fired up and confident of snatching the Italian title and repeating its Champions Cup win this season.
Ronaldo also hailed Pato's arrival, saying the 17-year-old striker who will only be eligible to play for Milan from January, was a valuable addition to the squad.
"Pato could play for Milan right now, it's not like he needs to get ready," said Ronaldo, stressing that the striker "knows what to do with the ball."
Pato, whose real name is Alexandre Rodrigues da Silva, turns 18 in September. He had also been in the sights of such soccer powerhouses as AC Milan's crosstown rival Inter, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
AC Milan beat out the competition by offering his club, Porto Alegre, 22 million euros and the talented teenager a five-year contract and two million euros a year.
The striker will only be able to train and play exhibition matches with Milan from the 3rd of September. He will be able to start playing official matches from January 3, when he becomes a full-fledged member of the team.
