Florentine design school goes east - The Accademia Italiana, fashion and design school based in Florence and founded in the 1980s will soon open a branch in China.
Accademia Italiana president, Vincenzo Giubba, announced the project during the opening of 'Shanghai Fashion Week'.
The project is a partnership with the Association of Chinese textile industries and will be launched over the next few months with educational courses of various training levels.
Study programs will include fashion, interior and product design, in addition to graphic arts and communication.
The Accademia Italiana will also set up a library with a special section dedicated to fashion and design. The school will focus on cultural exchanges by bringing numerous Italian and European designers to the city.
