Development of R&D team and new industrial projects - An agreement for 2007-2008 has been signed between Azimut-Benetti's Research and Development team and Sant'Anna University in Pisa, an important international centre for training and research.
The agreement is centred on the formation of an Azimut-Benetti R&D team to be headquartered in Varazze (Savona) with docents and researchers from Sant'Anna.
The two entities will work together in the industrial design of components, technology, function, control and design systems on a wide range of yachts.
Azimut-Benetti and Sant'Anna began working together two years ago to develop industrial projects regarding new technologies, including robotics and on-board automation devices.
Upon the completion of their collaboration, Azimut-Benetti built a prototype to equip a boat laboratory that was designed specifically for it.
In certain cases patents were filed for new inventions.
