Cabin and ground staff continued to disrupt service at Italian national carrier Alitalia on Monday with almost 100 flights cancelled.
Passengers at Rome's Fiumicino airport were the worst hit by the protest, with 28 departures and 41 arrivals cancelled between 7.00 and 23.00.
Almost all of the cancelled flights were domestic, with a total of 26 flights affected on the Rome-Milan route. Only one international flight - an arrival from New York - was cancelled.
At Milan's Linate airport 21 departures and 19 arrivals were cancelled, while at the city's Malpensa airport seven departures and seven arrivals were struck off.
Alitalia service was disrupted all last week with hundreds of flight cancellations because Alitalia employees applied a ''work to rule'' union order and stuck rigidly to safety and security regulations.
The airline has asked passengers to call 800-650-055 to check the status of flights and arrange rebookings.
