Alitalia talks unaffected by government woesItalian Industry Minister Pierluigi Bersani denied on Tuesday that current uncertainty over the government's future would have any effect on negotiations for the sale of Alitalia.

The troubled airline last week began eight weeks of talks aimed at hammering out the details of a deal in which Air France-KLM would buy the Treasury's controlling stake in the Italian national carrier.

''Nothing has changed. We're talking and negotiating,'' Bersani told journalists. ''The government will be here in any case. There is no interference''.
