Flash News - Italian watchmaker Binda will produce and distribute watches and jewels of the Moschino Cheap&Chic brand under licence from the Italian fashion house Moschino.
The contract between Binda and Moschino, part of Italian fashion holding Aeffe, will run for five years with an option to be extended for another five.
The first collection which Binda will produce will be presented at watch and jewellery show Baselworld 2008, Moschino's chief executive Thierry Andretta said.
Binda was set up in 1906 in Milan, northern Italy, by Innocenzo Binda who opened a shop for watches on the Lago Maggiore lake.
Binda began selling the Wyler Vetta brand of watches in 1932 and created the Breil brand in 1935.
According to Binda's website www.bindagroup.com, Binda owns the brands Wyler Geneve, Breil and Tribe by Breil. The company produces and distributes under licence the brands D&G Dolce & Gabbana Time and D&G Dolce & Gabbana Jewels.)
