Capello warns Italians

England coach Fabio Capello on Monday warned Inter Milan, Roma and AC Milan about the tasks they face in the Champions League's knock-out stage this week.

Capello has been in England since mid-December and has improved his knowledge of teams like Liverpool and Arsenal, the adversaries of Inter and Milan on Tuesday and Wednesday.

He has also won two Liga titles with Real Madrid, which Roma host on Tuesday night.

Talking on Italian radio, Capello said Liverpool's recent poor form should not lull Inter into a false sense of security when they travel to Anfield on Tuesday night.

''Liverpool transforms itself in the Champions League and at home it is also helped by the crowd. It has to be approached very cautiously,'' the former Milan, Roma and Juventus title-winning coach said.

''Inter is among the top teams in Europe, but Liverpool forgets everything when it plays a cup match''.

As for Roma, ''it must not push forward to score because that way it will allow Real to counter-attack, something that Real is very good at''.

''The men to stop are (Ruud) van Nistelrooy and Guti,'' he stressed.

Capello added that Roma captain Francesco Totti ''has to recover his best form if he wants to be decisive against Real''.

Of the three Italian teams, Capello said AC Milan had the hardest task when it travels to Arsenal Stadium on Wednesday night.

''The Arsenal match is the toughest because Arsenal plays a different kind of football from anyone else, with six players attacking at once''.

''If Milan want to win the game they have to find a way of stopping (Spanish playmaker Cesc) Fabregas from playing''.

Inter go into Tuesday's match at Anfield on a high from the 2-0 win against Livorno that stretched their Serie A lead to 11 points from Roma, which lost to Juventus to leave the Turin giants just a point behind them.
