Italy's Under-21 coach Pierluigi Casiraghi has extended his contract for two years, the Italian Soccer Federation said Tuesday.
The former Lazio, Chelsea and Italy striker, 40, took over the Under-21 side in 2006.
The Under-21 team was knocked out of the recent European championship in the semi-finals by eventual champions Germany.
In 2007 it went out in the group stage.
