Italy is one of the largest producers of organic products in Europe so it is only fitting that a "sagra" is now dedicated entirely to organic products. The event takes place in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, just outside Florence from the 4th to the 16th of August.
The sagra, or festival, will offer sweets, antipasti, primi and secondi all with strictly organic products. In addition, care will be taken to make sure that the products have also travelled as little as possible - directly from producers to consumers.
A "Bio-Market" will be open for the entire duration allowing visitors to purchase the products.
Finally, at night in addition to enjoying live music you will also be able to taste organic beer - all in all it promised to be a great Tuscan experience.
