On the 13th of July, Chi , a popular Italian magazine, published what they called the "last photo" of Diana, Princess of Wales, taken moments after the car crash which killed her.
It shows the Princess being given oxygen in the Mercedes at the crash site in Paris.
Umberto Brindani, who edits Chi, said: "I published the picture for a very simple reason - it has never been seen before. In my opinion it is not a picture which is offensive to the memory of Princess Diana. I found it rather tender and touching." (Via Sky News)
In response to website visitors asking our opinion Italy Magazine states its unequivocal condemnation of this tasteless decision.
In our opinion they have totally misread the continuous strength of public affection worldwide for the Princess.
