Wine & Spirits says Riserva Ducale top choice in restaurants - According to a Wine & Spirits magazine poll, Ruffino's Riserva Ducale is the most requested Italian red wine in American restaurants.
Ruffino has been in business in Pontassieve (Florence) for 130 years and has produced the sought after wine since 1927.
The name Riserva Ducale comes from the Duke of Aosta - a renowned nobleman who chose the Ruffino vintage as his personal table wine during the 19th century.
Chianti Ruffino is arguably one of the most important wineries in all of Italy.
Founded in 1877, the company consists of seven estates in Tuscany and one in Friuli. The estates count more than 600 hectares of vines.
Ruffino wines are exported to 85 countries around the world.
