Liverpool striker Peter Crouch has denied speculation that he will be traded to Turin's Juventus and said he intends to stay put where he is.
"I've read rumors about by future, including that Juventus is interested in me. All I can say is that I'm fine where I am and happy to play for such an important club," the England striker said on Thursday.
Liverpool, he added, "is a prestigious club, every match is an event and I see myself here as long as (coach Rafael) Benitez wants me".
Aside from Juve, Newcastle is reported to be ready to offer 17 million euros for the lanky striker, who is said to be unhappy over the turnover policy practised by Benitez.
In regards to the turnover question, Crouch said "I've faced many challenges in my career and this is one of them. On the other hand, I'm not the only player who has to fight for a place in the first string".
"I know it's not a personal thing. All I can do is work hard to be at my best," Crouch added.
At 2.1 meters, Crouch is the tallest player both Liverpool and England have ever had and the tallest in the premier League today.
He has become a fan favorite with the robotic dance he performs after scoring, as he did with a spectacular scissors kick against Bolton on New Year's Day.
Aside from scoring 10 goals this season in the Premier League, Crouch last year became the first England player to scored 10 goals in a calender year.
