Customized watches made in PratoEnnebi artisans design and create watches for collectors - Ennebi, a small artisan business run by the owners and founders, Alessandro Bettarini and Luciano Nincheri, has filled a niche in the watch industry by designing and creating 300 to 350 timepieces per year for collectors and connoisseurs.

90 percent of the watches are produced for export to the US, Singapore, France and the UK.

An ID number, series number and anti-counterfeiting code are just some of the characteristics that make each watch a one-of-a-kind (priced at 3,300 euro).

The owners explain that ''every piece highlights the Tuscan tradition of precision mechanics, in particular with regard to timepieces, combined with the most advanced and modern technologies''.

Ennebi's design, though marketed to 'plain clothes' civilians, makes use of military (marine and air) technology.

The outside is made of titanium - a resistant material that is tested to withstand 100 bars of atmospheric pressure (equal to roughly 1,000 metres of sea depth).

In addition to wristwatches, the small Prato business also designs and manufactures scoreboard clocks that will soon be inaugurated in the Viadana (near Mantua) rugby stadium.
