Former Udinese, Napoli, Siena and Queens Park Rangers manager Gigi De Canio is set to replace Lecce coach Mario Beretta after the Puglia side drew at home to bottom club Reggina Sunday to stay 19th in Serie A.
Lecce sources said De Canio, who left QPR in May, was close to signing a deal that would see him continue as Lecce coach next year.
