Italy midfielder Daneile De Rossi has extended his contract with AS Roma for at least four more years, the Serie A club announced on Monday.
The player will see his salary rise to 7.2 million euros for the upcoming season, 7.6 million euros for the 2009-2010 season and 8.1 million euros for each of the two following seasons.
This will give De Rossi a gross income of 31 million euros for the next four years.
De Rossi played well in this month's Euro 2008 and he was man of the match in Italy's win over France, which put it in the quarter finals.
However, the As Roma player later saw his penalty kick blocked in the final shootout which put Spain into the semifinals.
Spain won Euro 2008 on Sunday with a 1-0 win over Germany.
