Donatella Versace's advice to US presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton is: don't wear trousers.
"She should stop wearing trousers. I can understand that they're comfortable but she's a woman and should show it," the famous Italian fashion designer said in an interview published Thursday by German weekly Die Zeit.
"If I were her, I'd abandon those trouser suits. Feminine dresses and skirts are better for her," Versace said, adding that black would be the ideal colour.
"Hillary is a strong woman and strong women wear black," she said.
The designer said the 59-year-old Democratic candidate and senator should opt for knee-length skirts to be worn with short jackets or coats.
