Eros’ ex says harmony restored

TV star Michelle Hunziker has rekindled hopes that her fairy-tale romance with ex-hubbie, the Italian pop sensation Eros Ramazzotti, might soon be back on.

"Things are harmonious with Eros again," the Swiss-German showgirl told Italian women's gossip magazine Diva & Donna.

Hunziker told fans not to get their hopes up too high, however, saying "I don't know if we're going to share the same roof again".

But she added: "Never say never".

Asked if she felt lonely, the 29-year-old blonde bombshell replied: "No, but every now and then I feel like a kiss".

Hunziker has been fancy-free since splitting up with her manager a few months ago.

Asked whether she wanted a new relationship, she said: "It's hard for me to find a man. I'm too demanding." Which could mean she may be prepared to hook up with Eros again, couple-watchers said.

Speculation that the two, who have a nine-year-old daughter, might be getting back together has been recurrent since their split four years ago.

Late last year television images of the couple at Disneyland Paris with daughter Aurora rekindled rumours that a reconciliation might be on the cards. But the pair, two of Italy's most popular celebrities, denied they were getting back together. Relations between Ramazzotti and the Swiss
model-turned-television presenter have provided Italian gossip columnists with heaps of material.

Coverage of Hunziker's subsequent love affairs in celebrity news magazines and her alleged involvement with mystic groups reportedly caused friction between the former spouses.

Ramazzotti last year obtained a court injunction forbidding Hunziker from letting Aurora spend time with her manager Salvatore Passaro.

After the split with Passaro, relations with Ramazzotti have improved.

The international pop star seemed to rule out a reconciliation in a song on his latest album, 'Calma Apparente'(Apparent Calm), which came out at the end of October.

"Even though I still miss you a little, and I don't know whose arms I'll end up in, even though she won't be as beautiful as you are, I'm not turning back," say the Italian lyrics of Beata Solitudine (Blessed Solitude).

Ramazzotti, 42, has sold some 35 million records in a career spanning 23 years.

His first single, Ad Un Amico (To A Friend), came out in 1982.

In 1984 the singer-songwriter took part in Italy's prestigious San Remo music festival - a competition he went on to win two years later with Adesso Tu (Now You). Since then his distinctive nasal voice and ability to blend simple pop tunes with traditional Italian influences have won him a huge international following.

He has recorded tracks with greats like Tina Turner, Cher and Joe Cocker and shared stages with Elton John, Rod Stewart and Jimmy Page.

In 1997 'Eros', his 'Best of' album, won 32 platinum awards after selling more than six million copies.
