The exhibition dedicated to the European carnivals From the Alps to the Black Sea: To the Roots of the Carnival is scoring a huge success in Vigo di Fassa in Trentino.
The event is promoted by the Ladin Cultural Institute in Fassa on the occasion of the 30th anniversary from its founding. The exhibition was visited by 4,400 people in a month, some 1,000 a week, including many foreigners.
The visitors appreciated most the multimedia areas, which showed video of the actions of the various personages performing carnival rites, and the original exhibition structure designed by architects Weber and Winterle who used piles of wood given by the Fiemme community among which they arranged the more than 90 platforms to exhibit the costumes.
The exhibition will remain open until Sunday, September 3, when it will coincide with the Gran Festa da D'Ista festival. The exhibition's opening hours will be extended until 2300 local time on the last day.
