Italian exports totalled 264.8 bln euros ($387.191 bln) for January to September 2007, up 11.5%, compared to the same period of 2006.
Italy's trade deficit stood at 7.8 bln euros ($11.405 bln) in the first nine months of 2007, against a deficit of 17.7 bln euros ($25.881 bln) a year ago.
Italy's share of the world exports increased to 3.6% in the first nine months of 2007, from 3.4% in the same period of 2006.
The data were presented by Italian Prime Minister, Romano Prodi, and Italian Trade Minister, Emma Bonnino.
Italian exports to the countries outside the European Union (EU) increased by 8.1% yearly in November 2007.
The imports from the countries which are not part of the EU increased by 4.7% on the year in November 2007.
The trade deficit of the commerce with the countries outside the EU stood at 575 mln euros ($840.8 mln) in November 2007 compared to 930 mln euros ($1.36 bln) in November 2006.
