The Fabrica Ethica programme came in first among 13 finalists after an initial selection from over 300 projects presented by European regional and local institutions.
Fabrica Ethica's activities are based on respect and the extension of social rights of small and mid-sized businesses and industrial districts, as well as to reinforce internal relations through management innovations.
According to Ambrogio Brenna, superintendent of innovation and production for the Tuscan regional government, the award is ''a recognition that awards quality development based on human rights, social inclusion, respect for the environment and the well-being of the area''.
