The Ferrari 60 Relay will arrive in the Italian capital on Saturday and mementos from each of the countries it has visited will be brought together for a special exhibition at the Italian foreign ministry.

The global Ferrari 'relay race', spanning five continents and some 50 countries, was organised to mark Ferrari's 60th birthday and has seen the participation of over 10,000 Ferrari owners and fans who have been driving a vast array of Ferrari models from the past six decades.

The race began at the end of January at the future site of the Ferrari theme park in Abu Dhabi and winds up at Ferrari headquarters in Maranello for a birthday bash on June 23rd.

Participants are carrying special batons which have been embossed with symbols of the 60 greatest moments in Ferrari's history, from its first success at the Rome Grand Prix of 1947 to the Ferrari FXX of 2006.

The souvenirs picked up in each country visited were chosen to represent that society's lculture and traditions.

After the exhibition in Rome, these objects will be brought to Maranello to be auctioned off at the birthday celebration along with other donations, including an all-chocolate Ferrari 612 Scaglietti replica.
