Ferrari and its special relationship with the silver screen is the focus of an exhibition at Ferrari's headquarters marking the 60th anniversary of the legendary Italian sportscar.
The show has been set up in the Galleria Ferrari and is dedicated to the actors and films which have made the car famous around the world.
A vast number of photographs, many from the company's private archive, capture stars of the stage and screen in their love affairs with the car both on the set and in their private lives.
Visitors to the exhibition can also view a special film featuring clips the Italian car in over 70 films and which gives an ample panorama of Ferrari's models over the past 60 years.
The clips in black and white as well as in color are from both Italian and Hollywood films. These include scenes from 1950s movies featuring Gregory Peck with Ava Garner; 1960s films with Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni; those from the 70s with Walter Matthau and Alain Delon; segments of cult American TV shows from the 1980s; right up to more recent Hollywood blockbusters.
Also on show are a series of movie posters and stills from the sets, both vintage and contemporary.
A number of classic Ferrari cars are on show in the exhibition including the 250GT California which director Vittorio De Sica used in his Oscar-winning film 'Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow'.
The car also featured in Roger Vadim's 'Les Liasons Dangereuses' (Dangerous Liaisons), the first film version of the French classic.
The exhibition at the Galleria Ferrari will run through June 30.
