Ferrari keen to get back on top

Ferrari are keen to get back on top of the F1 tree at Sunday's German Grand Prix here after their poor display in the wet at Silverstone.

Kimi Raikkonen and Filippo Massa were outgunned by McLaren's Lewis Hamilton in the British Grand Prix and could only manage fourth and 13th place respectively.

This left a three-way tie at the top of the standings, with BMW's Robert Kubica only two points behind.

''I didn't think this year was going to be so tight,'' said Massa, a three-time winner this year.

''But I'm sure we'll learn from our mistakes''.

World champion Raikkonen said he was optimistic about Sunday's race, come rain or shine.

''Rainy or dry conditions are all the same to me,'' said the Finn, who was penalised by bad tyre decisions at Silverstone.

''I'm expecting a great fight between the two teams,'' he added.

Two-time world champ Fernando Alonso of Renault said this year's F1 race would be ''a fight between Raikkonen and Massa''.

He did not mention his one-time team mate Hamilton.

But Hamilton promised another strong display, saying ''we are the best at the moment''.
