Florence's Stazione Leopolda hosts the 2008 edition of the much-anticipated 'Taste' food show from March 15 to 17.

The gourmet showcase - dedicated to cultural and biological diversity of food - was created by Davide Paolini and is organized by Pitti Immagine.

The show has undergone a make-over for its third edition - its layout is that of a huge department store that includes an itinerary through tastes and debates, an ideal meeting place for industry insiders and foodies alike.

Last year's show saw over 6,500 visitors.

Over 150 niche businesses will be present from all over Italy.

From aged cheeses to chocolate to salame di tonno to balsamic jams and olive spreads.

New this year are three areas dedicated to specific categories including liquors, homemade beers and dessert wines.

During the three-day event, Taste will present various events, including the presentation of Davide Paolini's new book, Le ricette della memoria e l'arte di fare la spesa, at Melbookstore.

The show includes an installation on table settings and kitchenware by designer Paola Navone, called ''NonsoloAlimentari: Oggetti di design e artigianato per la tavola e la cucina''.

The piazza in front of the station will feature 30 images dedicated to the art of cooking done for Francesca Brambilla's photography exhibit in collaboration with ''Velvet'' magazine.
