Italy's World Cup qualifier against Georgia in Udine on September 10 is at risk, sports authorities said Wednesday.
The possibility of pushing back the match date or deploying extra security in view of the international situation was being examined by a new panel on the safety of sports events, they said.
The Udine fixture is the second game in the new term of World Cup-winning coach Marcello Lippi, who debuted with a 2-2 friendly draw against Austria last week.
On September 6 Italy meet Cyprus in Nicosia.
