Italy's industrial output fell 0.6% in July compared to the same month in 2007, national statistics agency ISTAT reported Friday.
But the drop would have been much higher, 3.2%, if the same number of days had been worked this July, it said.
Italy had 23 working days this July, one more than in July 2007.
