Industrial turnover and orders both rose in 2007, national statistics bureau Istat reported on Wednesday.
Averaging out all of 2007, Istat said that turnover climbed by 5.5% over 2006 thanks to a 3.7% rise on the domestic market and 10.3% from abroad.
Orders were 6.5% higher than 2006 through a 4.3% increase at home and 10.7% leap abroad.
Istat also issued figures for December which showed that turnover was unchanged compared to the same month in 2006 and fell 2.7% from November.
Industrial orders in December were 0.5% higher than the previous December and down 5.4% from November 2007.
