Inter 'favourite' says Moratti

Inter Milan are favourites to beat Manchester United in the Champions League last 16 at Old Trafford in two weeks, Chairman Massimo Moratti said after Tuesday night's goalless draw in the first leg here.

''Now it's us who have more than a 50% chance of qualification,'' Moratti said.

''It was important not to concede a goal at home and now we have to score away from home. Not scoring was a disappointment for them and we're happy we didn't allow them to score''.

Moratti rejected claims that Inter had been lucky not to concede despite a string of chances for their opponents, the tournament title holders.

''The players were good at defending and counterattacking at the right time,'' he said.

Manchester United dominated the first half at the San Siro and hit a post while Inter goalie Julio Cesar made two smart stops.

But the hosts had a couple of chances of their own in the second half, when they appeared to be more composed.
