Inter Milan is still hoping Frank Lampard can persuade Chelsea to let him go, club chairman Massimo Moratti said Friday.
''We have to be patient...the player wants to go but we have to respect Chelsea's rights too,'' Moratti said.
''His club has every right to keep him''.
Lampard has one year to go on his contract with the Blues.
Extension talks have stalled amid reports that Lampard would be happier with the terms he could get from the Italian champs.
The Sun newspaper reported Friday that Milan has upped its offer to 13 million euros but Chelsea expect more.
Ex-Chelsea boss Jose' Mourinho, now at Inter, has long been an admirer of the England midfielder.
