Inter, Juve in tough openers

Champions Inter Milan and Turin giants Juventus face tough road trips as the Serie A show starts again this weekend.

Inter has a host of defence injury woes to contend with as it travels to Antonio Cassano's Sampdoria on Saturday night but Zlatan Ibrahimovic is fired up by new coach Jose' Mourinho.

The Swede, who is struggling with a nagging knee problem but should see 90 minutes' action in Genoa, says the ex-Chelsea boss is ''the most complete coach I've ever had''.

Juve, who placed a distant third behind Inter and AS Roma last year but are widely tipped to do better this time, has the enviable task of choosing between Alessandro Del Piero, David Trezeguet, Vincenzo Iaquinta and new signing Amauri as they face Adrian Mutu's Fiorentina in Florence on Sunday.

Former AC Milan striker Alberto Gilardino will be looking to make his mark against the Old Lady as he starts a comeback from two struggling years in Milan.

Ronaldinho and Andriy Shevchenko are Milan's most eagerly awaited strikers as the Rossoneri, who failed to qualify for the Champions League last year, start their scudetto bid by hosting newly promoted Bologna on Sunday.

Roma will have new signings Julio Baptista of Brazil and French talent Jeremy Menez alongside skipper Francesco Totti at home to ever-ambitious Napoli Sunday.

Palermo, knocked out of the Italian Cup by third-division Ravenna last week, go to Udinese on Saturday afternoon.
