Inter won't throw away the Serie A title despite seeing their lead over Roma cut to three, coach Roberto Mancini said Monday.
''We've been ahead on our own since day three and we're going to see it through,'' Mancini said a day after Inter lost the Milan derby and Roma beat Samp to halve the gap at the top.
The coach said he was sure Inter would seal its 16th title at home to Siena next Sunday.
''I've always thought we were going to win (the title) against Siena and I still think that,'' he said.
''There's no way we're going to choke''.
Siena beat Juventus on Sunday to make sure they stay up but Siena coach Mario Beretta said they would still play ''a real game'' against Inter.
Specifying that he was a Milan and not a Roma fan, Berletti said: ''We'll be going to San Siro with the pressure off us, granted, but we'll play our own game and try to exploit Inter's weak spots,'' he said.
Inter face Lazio in the second leg of the Italian Cup semi-final on Wednesday but Mancini is expected to rest several starters for that.
''I don't see any extra pressure from the midweek game,'' he said.
Roma host Atalanta next Sunday hoping to make the last day of the season on May 18 a thriller.
That day both teams face opponents who will probably still be battling against the drop, as Inter go to Parma and Roma visit Catania.
But even if Roma draw level Inter's better head-to-head record would assign them their third straight scudetto.
