Israeli, Palestinian artists' work in Rome

Israeli, Palestinian artists' work in RomeSixty images in black and white by three Israeli and three Palestinian artists are featured in a new show here about the city of Jerusalem.

The photography exhibition, ''Eyes of Jerusalem'', opens Wednesday at the Penazzato Library in Rome and runs until January 14.

The exhibition will be inaugurated in the presence of photographer and curator of the exhibition Tano D'Amico, journalist and war correspondent from the La7 TV station, Luca Del Re, Franco La Torre from the Office for Peace in Jerusalem of the Municipality of Rome, and the president of Biblioteche di Roma (Rome Libraries), Igino Poggiali.

During the inauguration the animated film ''Pace of Peace'' will be shown.

Made with Israeli and Palestinian students from Raanana and Qalqilia, it has received numerous recognitions, among which the Cinema and Culture of Dialogue award from the Venice Film Festival 2004 and a Special Mention from Cartoons on the Bay Festival 2005.
