Italian teams in the Champions League could consider themselves lucky Friday when they avoided such European heavyweights as Real Madrid, Manchester United and Barcelona in the draw for the first knockout out round.
Friday's draw saw AC Milan against Scotland's Celtic, AS Roma meeting Olympic Lyon and Inter Milan against Valencia.
AC Milan has the advantage of playing its first leg away while both Inter and Roma will host their first round matches.
The first legs will be played February 20 and 21, while the return legs will be staged March 6 and 7.
