Former Juventus defender Mark Iuliano is facing a two-year ban from the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) after admitting cocaine use.
Iuliano, 34, tested positive for the drug after a Serie B match between his club Ravenna and Cesena on June 1.
CONI's antidoping prosecutors asked for the two-year ban after a hearing Tuesday.
Iuliano was one of Italy's top defenders during his time at Juventus between 1996 and 2005.
He won 19 Italy caps between 1998 and 2002.
