Juventus midfielder Antonio Nocerino was discharged from hospital Tuesday morning after spending a night in observation following a road accident.
Hospital sources said the 22-year-old Serie A player had suffered a mild concussion when he was hit by a car as he came out of a pizzeria.
In the impact he reportedly landed on the car's hood with his head breaking the windshield, before he bounced off on to the pavement.
Nocerino was momentarily knocked out but regained consciousness by the time an ambulance arrived.
"All things considered, he was in pretty good shape. When the ambulance came he was already coming to," observed Antonio Viola, the operator of the pizzeria who was among the first to come to the midfielder's aid.
Nocerino will undergo a series of tests later in the day with club doctors at the Juventus Center in Vinovo, a Turin suburb
