Kaka 'could make derby'

Milan striker Kaka is making a surprisingly fast recovery from a sprained ankle and has a slim chance of making the scudetto showdown against leaders Inter on Sunday, Milan sources said Wednesday.

''The adrenalin rush of certain matches is stronger than any painkiller,'' sources in the Milan camp said.

Kaka, who was expected to be out for two weeks after picking up the knock in a 1-1 home draw against bottom club Reggina Sunday, will continue a gym and swimming regime until Friday, they said.

But the striker, who was forced out of Tuesday's 2-0 win against Italy in London, may try kicking a ball on Saturday and could declare himself fit at the last minute.

''For the moment, (coach Carlo) Ancelotti is preparing the game as if he didn't have Kaka, but you never know''.

Milan are third in the league, a point behind Juventus and eight points adrift of Inter.

Sunday night's game is a great chance to grab hold of the leaders' shirt-tails.

The speculation about Kaka came a day after a report that defender Alessandro Nesta might make his long-awaited return against Inter.
