AC Milan forward Kaka is hoping David Beckham will be released by the LA Galaxy so he can end his career in Milan.

''I hope Milan can reach a deal with the Americans because David is a player who can give us a big hand this season and the coming ones. He turned out to be decisive in the last few games, both with assists and goals,'' the Brazil star told Brazilian TV.

''Perhaps in the beginning it was a marketing operation but the truth is that David is fundamental for us today''.

Kaka was speaking as talks between the two clubs continued.

On Tuesday Milan CEO Adriano Galliani said Friday could be the ''decisive'' day for turning Beckham's two-month loan into a transfer.

The England midfielder, 33, has turned out in all seven of Milan's matches since January, scoring two goals and providing several assists.

His surprising performance made sure England coach Fabio Capello handed him a record-equalling 108th cap against Spain last week.
