A three-day music festival, called Lennon Festival , will be held in Belpasso, in the province of Catania, from August 25 to 27. The event, which is a big opportunity for young singers, songwriters, actors and bands, is organised by the Lennon Club Association under the patronage of the city of Belpasso.
Carmelo Paladino, president of the association and coordinator of the organisation committee together with Roberta Lunghi, confirmed that the winner of the 8th edition will perform at the MEI Fest in Faenza.
We have joined a national circle of festivals, Paladino said. This will allow the winner to take part on November 25 and 26 in the Meeting of the Independent Labels (MEI), the most important Italian music show which has been attracting for years a crowd of professional visitors, producers, independent labels, managers, promoters and record company owners.
Paladino said also that the winner will be given the opportunity to make his or hers own video clip.
The increase in the number of participants in the semifinals on Friday and Saturday is among the innovations introduced by the Lennon Club Association in this year s edition of the festival. The final of the festival will be on Sunday.
