Motorbike sales vehicles in Italy dropped by 3.9% in November over the same month last year, according to Italian motorcycle accessories association ANCMA.
November sales of scooters stood were down 5.0% on the year, while the sales of motorcycles registered a rise by 1.6%.
Without taking into account the order of scooters by Italian postal service, sales of two-wheel vehicles were up by 2.3% in the first eleven months of 2007, over the same period in 2006, ANCMA Chairman Guidalberto Guidi, said.
Scooter sales for that period were 6.4%, while the sales of motorcycles fell 4.4% in the period January to November 2007.
Sales of scooters and mopeds with 50cc engines jumped 14% in November and by 11.5% for the first 11 months of the year.
Sales of motorcycles over 1000cc engines leapt 24.7%.
