Jose' Mourinho kicked off his first day as Inter Milan manager with the self-belief that marked his terms at Porto and Chelsea.
Asked what his aims were, he said ''everything'' - the Serie A title, the Champions League, the Italian Cup and the SuperCup.
''I know it's very hard to win everything...but I believe I have the ideal working method to keep the squad at a high level for the whole of the season, also from the psychological point of view''.
Trading on his self-awarded nickname, the Special One, Mourinho told the press that he had ''never forgotten I am a great coach'' but was now coming to ''a special club''.
Speaking in Italian, which he has reportedly been learning for months, the Portuguese coach said he wanted to ''start a cycle with the same team as last year plus two or three new players''.
He did not identify these players, but he has been reported as wanting to bring a clutch of Chelsea players including Frank Lampard, Michael Essien, Ricardo Carvalho and Didier Drogba to Milan.
Inter has also been linked to Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o.
''The team will stay more or less the same as last year, but I think differently from Roberto (Mancini),'' Mourinho went on.
''That is far from being a criticism,'' Mourinho stressed - only to add that ''I've always had a strong relationship with my players...I've always said that my players are the best in the world, and now the best players in the world are Inter's''.
Mancini, who was sacked last week after bringing Inter three straight Serie A titles, two Italian Cups and two Italian SuperCups, was reported by some to have struggled at times to control Inter's star-packed squad.
Mourinho, who won the Champions League at Porto before joining Chelsea in 2005, has reportedly signed a three-year deal with Inter worth nine million euros a year.
He has been chosen to replace Mancini - who is currently in a legal row with Inter - with the mission that Mancini failed, to translate Inter's domestic success into European glory.
At Chelsea Mourinho won two Premier League titles and an FA Cup - but nothing in Europe.
Mourinho will be flanked at Inter by the former reserve team coach Beppe Baresi - brother of the Azzurri legend Franco.
