New solutions for clients who can use the automated machines - Residents and visitors of Siena can enjoy less paper, more consultation and 24-hour service while banking thanks to brand new automated bank tellers.

The Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS) has just introduced their Bank of the Future project, a technological initiative set to save the bank 30% on operations costs.

The pilot project was launched in Siena and the first banking machine was set up in the historic Piazza del Campo.

The technology was provided by Microsoft and Bassilichi - a leading Tuscan banking services business. The 'branch of the future' is part of the bank's three-year plan to implement still more multifaceted on-line services.

MPS has even flirted with the idea of becoming a completely digital company. A new electronic key which automatically generates a one-time-only password allows customers to purchase banking products by phone, internet and cell phone without the bureaucratic hassle generally associated with such transactions.

In addition, modern ATMs offer the convenience of 24-hour banking for all types of transactions including deposits and bill-pay.
