New York Times puts Tuscany in Top 53 places to visitTuscany and Rimini are only Italian destinations on list - The New York Times recently published an exclusive list of the 53 places that 'globe trotters' must visit in 2008.

Along with Rimini, Tuscany was the only Italian destination that made journalist Danny Lee's list.

The list includes countries like Laos and Tunisia and European capital Lisbon.

New York made it into the last place.

There were no Italian cities or regions in the top ten. Tuscany came in 19th, recommended to readers not only for its 'art cities' and traditional products, but for its green fields that make it an appealing destination for golfers and those passionate about outdoor vacations.

The Saturnia baths, in the heart of the Maremma in Southern Tuscany got a special mention.

As the U.S. daily reports, starting this month guests of the spa will have the opportunity to play golf on a new 247 acre nine-hole course among cypress trees, sunflowers and olive groves.
