'No deal' on Beckham

AC Milan and the LA Galaxy haven't reached a deal on David Beckham, Milan CEO Adriano Galliani said Tuesday, contradicting US media reports.

''The affair isn't resolved. We are working on the hypothesis of a loan until June 30 but no deal has been reached,'' Galliani said.

Earlier, the Los Angeles affiliate of CBS reported that the clubs had agreed Beckham would stay in Italy until the end of the Serie A season and return to the US in July.

It said the Galaxy had demanded $10 million for extending Beckham's two-month loan but had eventually settled for much less.

The England midfielder, 33, has turned out in all of Milan's matches since January, scoring two goals and providing several assists.

His surprising performance made sure England coach Fabio Capello handed him a record-equalling 108th cap against Spain last week.

Beckham's loan runs out on March 8.

He has repeatedly stated he wants to stay in Milan.
