AC Milan's Italy under-19 star Enzo Paloschi is moving to Serie B club Parma in a co-ownership deal after his chances of featuring for the Milanese giants fell sharply when Andriy Shevchenko returned from Chelsea this week.
Paloschi, 18, made a sensational debut for Milan in February, scoring the winner against Siena with his first touch as substitute, 18 seconds after coming on.
He notched another goal in six more appearances last year but was already facing strong competition from Kaka', Alexandre Pato, Filippo Inzaghi and Alberto Gilardino.
Despite Gilardino's recent move to Fiorentina, Paloschi's Milan aspirations took a first knock with the arrival of Kaka' and Pato's international team mate and Brazil legend Ronaldinho from Barcelona earlier this month.
His playing chances were effectively snuffed out when Shevchenko reclaimed his Milan shirt on Monday after two nightmare years in London.
Paloschi, one of the brightest hopes of Italian soccer, has scored four times in nine under-19 appearances for Italy.
His new club Parma were relegated at the end of last season.
The end of the Shevchenko saga may not be the last of Milan's transfer market moves, CEO Adriano Galliani has said.
Right-back Massimo Oddo could join his former World Cup winning squad mate Fabio Grosso on the other side of the Lyon defence, Galliani said.
Oddo, 32, is likely to lose his Milan spot to new signing Gianluca Zambrotta from Barcelona.
