Flash News - A jolly drawing of late opera legend Luciano Pavarotti appeared on Google's masthead Friday, the day he would have turned 72.
The stylised cartoon figure of Big Luciano formed the L in the search engine's logo, a carol of high Cs sailing out of his smiling mouth.
Clicking on it brings up the three million hits Pavarotti now gets - more than double the tally he notched before his death last month.
It was the latest in an occasional series of logo nods to cultural figures or events including Sherlock Holmes, Valentine's Day and the start of the Persian New Year.
