Tuscan shipbuilder gets 45ml sailboat commission for summer - Perini Navi, world leader in the design and construction of large sailboats, signed a contract for the sale of their 53rd boat - a 45- metre sailboat to be completed by the summer of 2010.
The C.2146 is the fourth in a series of 45-metre boats, two of which have already been finished the Sy Heritage in 2006 and the Sy Helios in November of this year.
The third 45-metre boat - presently named the C.2114 - is currently being built and will be complete in 2009.
This contract - signed in collaboration with the brokerage firm Flagship Yachts - makes a total of five Perini Navi contracts for 2007.
The company's current production includes 12 new boats to be distributed over the next 36 months for a comprehensive total of over 300 million euro.
The group boasts a fleet of 41 sail boats already on the seas and a turnover of 80 million euro in 2006, and includes Perini Navi, Cantieri Picchiotti, Cantieri Navali Beconcini (specialized in the restoration of historic boats), Yildiz-Perini Navi Istanbul in Turkey, and Perini Navi USA (commercial branch dedicated to brokerage and charter management).
