Pisa Airport management company, Societa' Aeroporto Toscano Galileo Galilei S.p.A., closed the month of April 2008 with a 6.7% increase in passengers with respect to the same month last year.

A total of 324,000 passengers travelled through the airport last April.

It is a positive trend that characterizes all of 2008: from January until today, in fact, over one million passengers have chosen the Galilei Airport, with a total increase of 13.8% with respect to the same time in 2007.

For the summer 2008, there are 57 Italian and international destinations reachable with a direct flight from the Pisa airport, for a total of 398 flights per week.

This season offers numerous new flights. Sky-Europe opened a Pisa-Prague route (in addition to confirming their Vienna connection) and Ryanair added Bari, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Constanta.

Thanks to a Pisa-Constanta connection, for the first time Galilei is connected to Romania.

Delta Airlines increased their New York flights, which went from four to five a week and represent the only direct flight from Tuscany to the United States.
