Twenty-six thousand buyers and 675 stands (for a total of 811 brands) are expected at the 73rd edition of Pitti Uomo in Florence from January 9 to 12.
The fashion show's password will be 'Cultura del prodotto'.
The international aspect will be strong again this year, as evidenced by the fact that 37% of the expected participants will come from abroad.
Pitti Uomo is the worldwide preview for the presentation of male fashion collections. Organized by Pitti Immagine, the event will take place of 59,000 square metres at the Fortezza da Basso. There will be 270 foreign exhibitors (13 of which are Japanese, a first).
There are several projects and events planned for different venues around the city. Among these is a Fondazione Pitti Discovery event at the Istituto d'Arte di Porta Romana, which is dedicated to young New York designer Adam Kimmel.
He takes his inspiration from contemporary art and Japanese style.
Kimmel is only 28 years old but already a force on the fashion scene.
The Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) will take place at Palazzo Corsini.
Women's fashion returns to Florence this year, with approximately 40 businesses that will present their pre-collections at a Pitti Uomo event
