Police on Thursday closed their investigation into the murder of British university exchange student Meredith Kercher seven months ago.
Kercher, 22, was found with her throat slashed on November 2 in the house she shared in Perugia with 20-year-old American Amanda Knox and two other girls.
Knox, her 24-year-old Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito and 21-year-old Ivory Coast national Rudy Guede have been in custody for the murder since November.
Under Italian law, their defence teams now have 20 days in which to contest the evidence and ask for any final magistrates' hearings before prosecutor Giuliano Mignini requests that the case be sent to trial.
In a preliminary report filed at the end of last year, investigators said they were convinced they had identified most, if not all, of the people responsible for the murder.
Knox, Sollecito and Guede claim to be innocent, although Guede has admitted to being present in the house on the night the murder took place.
The case against a fourth suspect, Democratic Republic of Congo national Diya 'Patrick' Lumumba, was officially shelved at the end of May and all charges against him dropped.
Knox at first claimed that it was 38-year-old pub operator and musician who had carried out the crime, but she later retracted her accusation and apologised for involving Lumumba.
