Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli said his side was ready to face Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup.
''We'll take on PSV with our usual spirit,'' Prandelli said after Friday's draw in Nyon, Switzerland.
''We're ready to play them like any other team.''
Fiorentina's Portuguese defender Manuel Da Costa, who moved from PSV last month, said his former club was ''a team that has reached an excellent level of play thanks to new coach (Sef) Vergoossen''.
He said their stand-out players were Brazilian goalkeeper Gomes and Afro-Peruvian forward Jefferson Farfan.
''It's a well-organised team that likes to play good soccer,'' Da Costa said.
PSV are currently leading the Dutch league, six points clear of Ajax after 27 games.
They went into the UEFA Cup after finishing third to Inter Milan and Fenerbahce in the Champions League group.
PSV, who have won the Dutch league 20 times, won the UEFA Cup in 1978 and the European Cup (now Champions League) in 1988.
